Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we handle at Materis Network when selling and supporting our products, what we use it for and what you can ask of us.

It covers the commercial relationship: what happens when you buy, pay, activate a licence or write to us. It doesn't describe what data each product handles internally, which depends on what that software does — one may read the network it's installed on and another may touch nothing of yours. That is set out in each product's own privacy policy, published on its own site along with its licence terms.

1. What data we handle

  • Purchase: name or company name, email, phone and, if you ask for an invoice, tax ID and registered address.
  • Licence: an identifier of the device where the product is activated, the activation date and the last IP address it was validated from. They serve to verify that the licence is used within what was contracted.
  • Payment: the amount, the date and the transaction reference.
  • Complaints: whatever you record in the Complaints Book, which the law requires us to keep.

2. Card data

We don't store card data. When you pay by card, the details go straight to the payment gateway, which is what processes them. We only receive the outcome of the transaction and its reference.

3. What we use it for

  • Issuing and delivering the licence you bought, and renewing it when you ask.
  • Issuing the corresponding payment receipts.
  • Supporting you and answering your questions or complaints.
  • Verifying that licences are used within the contracted devices.
  • Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We don't use your data for third-party advertising and we don't sell it.

4. Who it's shared with

Only with those needed to provide the service:

  • The payment gateway, to process the charge.
  • The email provider, to deliver licences, receipts and replies.
  • The infrastructure provider our systems run on.
  • The authorities, when a rule or an order requires it.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as the commercial relationship lasts, and afterwards for the period required by accounting, tax and consumer protection obligations. Complaints Book entries are kept for the period the regulations set.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access your data, update it, correct it or request its deletion, as well as object to certain processing. Write to us at support@materis.io from the email linked to your account and we'll reply within the periods the regulations set.

Bear in mind that there is data we can't delete while a legal obligation to keep it exists — for example, that of an issued receipt or a complaint entry.

7. Security

The site and our systems use an encrypted connection. The credentials and secrets we manage are stored encrypted, and access to data is limited to those who need it to operate.

8. Access to the customer portal

You get into the portal with your email and a password you choose. We store it encrypted and one-way: it is never held in the clear anywhere, we can't read it and no one at Materis can tell you what it is. If you forget it, it is reset, not recovered.

The reset is done with a temporary link to your registered email, so that email is still part of your access: keep it safe and tell us if you stop controlling it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version on this same page with its update date.
